Bacon Wrapped Dates w/ Chevre

Looking for a holiday appetizer that will leave your guests raving? These Vegan Bacon-Wrapped Dates are the perfect blend of sweet, smoky, savory, and creamy. Stuffed with artisanal Pistachio Chevre from Rebel Cheese (or any spreadable vegan cheese you love) and wrapped in BE Hive's seitan bacon, these little bites are as flavorful as they are elegant.

Ingredients

  • 16 slices BE Hive seitan bacon
  • 16 dates (pitted or pits removed)
  • 4 ounces vegan goat cheese (we used Rebel Cheese Pistachio Chevre)
  • 16 Toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Prep the Dates:
    1. If your dates aren’t pitted, make a small slit and remove the pit.
  2. Stuff the Dates: 
    1. Fill each date with a spoonful of vegan goat cheese, making sure not to overfill.
  3. Wrap with Bacon:
    1. Wrap a slice of BE Hive seitan bacon around each stuffed date. Secure with a toothpick.
  4. Bake
    1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
    2. Place the wrapped dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    3. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until warmed through and the bacon is slightly crisp.
  5. Serve
    1. Arrange on a platter and serve warm.
